The Ship Tour
Just now I came back from a tour on the ship. The ship was fabulous, but…
Okay, I went with Vanessa, and three nine to ten year olds were with us. Ashley, Lily-Mae and Brentt. Now, they are triplets, and they’re very very curious.
Here’s an example of what we were doing.
We passed by a door that had the words “ENGINE ROOM” printed on it. Guess what?
“Engine room?” Lily-Mae asked the guide.
“What’s in there?” Brentt piped up.
“How hot is it?” Ashley said.
“What do the engines run on?”
“Who works in there?”
“Is it like a car engine, only much bigger?”
And then the questions turn totally random.
“What color do you have to wear if you work in there?”
“Is the engine silver?”
“Have you ever eaten with the engine room guys?”
Vanessa and I were just like… yea, okay. The funniest thing is, the triplets are very serious about their questions. The guide doesn’t even think it’s weird - which is weird. If I were the guide I’d make them walk the plank. (Joking. Only pirates do that.) They don’t pile up the questions on top of each other, they wait until the previous questions are answered and then they start asking.
